Thank you AlwaysMod for my new tea set, which needed some major updating. This Stelton Emma Collection is absolutely perfect – the pieces are classic, simple and minimal. My favorite piece is the tea jug. It’s a Scandanavian classic with both form and function. The top easily twists on and off – you just put some loose leaf tea in the filter, pour in some hot water and the built-in smartfilter will actually stop the brewing process once the tea has reached the desired strength. It also keeps the tea warm for awhile, so when I take it to work, I can enjoy it the whole day.

I am excited to share a few photos of our wedding day with you. Everything was planned in eight weeks, and it was absolutely perfect. We didn’t want a fancy production, just a day to celebrate our love and life together with our closest friends and family. And that’s exactly what it was. There was no bridal party, just the two of us, the bride and groom – surrounded by people who have been there for us through some of our happiest and toughest times, who continuously support and encourage us, who love us with an unconditional love.
The great thing about planning a wedding in a short period is you can eliminate all the little, unnecessary things and focus on the big stuff. There’s no time to ponder and contemplate, just make a quick, informed decision and move on. We didn’t stress over the small details, but remained focused on the true meaning of the day. Things may not have gone perfectly as planned, but that’s not what it’s about, it’s about having fun and enjoying the moment – because trust me, it will be gone before you know it.
Hello friends!! Wow, it’s been nearly a month since my last post – longest unintentional break ever :-/ Work has completely taken over – I leave the house early in the morning when it’s dark and I come home at night when it’s dark – I really have no idea where the day goes. So when I’m not working, I’m really conscious with how I spend my time… I could keep going and going forever, so it’s important for me to slow down, take some time for myself, relax, enjoy the moment and definitely spend lots of time with family and friends.
As much as I love this blog of mine, I didn’t want it to become an extra stress, an extra thing on my to-do list… after all, this is suppose to be my creative outlet, and I want everything to be genuine and natural, not artificial and forced. So, that’s why it’s been a little silent, but I’m still here! I know there’s never going to be that perfect work-life balance, but as my schedule becomes more stable, I’ll get back into the swing of things – do some making and creating :)
Anyway, let’s catch up – let me know what’s going on with you!
Just coming by to wish you all a wonderful weekend. I’ve been working 6 am shifts the past two week, so sleeping in is currently the plan. I’m not complaining though – no rush hour traffic and done with work in the middle of the day… all good to me ;)
A couple weeks ago we decided to take a spontaneous trip out to Marfa, Tx – I mean, if not now, when?? We packed our bags, hit the road, and drove hundreds and hundreds of miles out to west Texas.
When trying to decide where to stay, we were initially between El Cosmico and Thunderbird, but since it was so last minute, El Cosmico was all booked, Thunderbird had a room or two left, so we thought okay Thunderbird it is. BUT THEN, I came across Corte Del Norte and oh my goodness, I immediately fell in love! They have two houses – Rock City House and The Love House. We decided on Rock City House because it was just the two of us, and we wanted something smaller. Wow, what a beautiful space. These photos really don’t do it justice. It’s simple, stylish, and filled with Marfa culture. Really, I could’ve stayed in the whole trip and be perfectly fine.
Our first stop was Prada Marfa of course. I couldn’t contain my excitement, I’ve been wanting to see this art instillation in person for the longest time! Getting a photo of this was worth the entire trip. When we finally got to Marfa, we hit up Food Shark and tried the Marfalafel and a chicken wrap – delish! After walking and exploring, we had dinner at Cochineal – the food, vibe, and people were all amazing! It’s a little pricey, but totally worth it! For breakfast, we started the day with Squeeze Marfa – coffee and chocolate croissants for me! Cast + Crew was right next door to our house, so of course we stopped by once or twice to admire vintage items, neon, and the most beautiful and unique Eames and Bertoia chairs.
Marfa is such a beautiful, unique small town tucked away in West Texas. If you ever have the opportunity to go, I highly recommend it!
Oh hi! Remember me? It’s been crazy busy over here, but I won’t get into it right now. Even though I haven’t been on here, I have been sharing some snaps on instagram. Parc Boutique opened store #2 in Edina, and I could not be more happy and excited for their expansion and success. Since I couldn’t be there for the opening, I sent over these beautiful blooms arranged by my sweet friend Jackie of munster rose – isn’t it beautiful?? We also made a trip out to Marfa, TX, which I will share some photos soon!
I’m hoping for things to calm down a bit soon, but in the meantime, update me on what’s going on with you!
