Hello 2016

January 5, 2016

Happy New Year!! I know I’m a few days late, but I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year. Last year, I spent way too much time at work – and as happy and thankful as I am to have a job, working 60+ hour weeks can quickly become super draining. This year, I’m going to make a conscious effort to have a good work-life balance, I’m going to focus on the important things – God, family, friends and myself. I want to live in the present, spend quality time with loved ones, and make memories. And as you may know, we just bought a house, so we are so excited for a new start and a place we can now make a home :)
What are you looking forward to in 2016??

Happy New Year! I think a good work-life balance is always on my list of things to improve. Sounds like you started off the year great, though! :)

Awww! Yay! I’m so glad everything is slowing down for you so you can enjoy life more, V! Congratulations again on your new home. I can’t wait to see sneak peaks of it soon. I’m looking forward to a year of success in every way. God is my first focus too and the other things for 2016 are to be consistent in everything. Writing, journaling/blogging, reading and working out. Make a schedule and stick to it kind of thing. ;)

I’m so glad you’re back because I’ve missed your posts!

I always love reading your posts and returning to your site because of the beautiful photography and minimalist design. Because I love it all so much, I hope you’ll be able to blog more often! I can appreciate how busy life can get, time just seems to fly by and you don’t get a second to catch your breath.

Nonetheless, I hope 2016 treats you well and I can’t wait to see what adventures you have in store. I’m hoping to travel more this year, get back into reading and be more organised. We’ll see how it all goes…I’m optimistic for now!

It’s so funny that you say you want to “live in the present”. It’s something that sounds so simple yet I’m guilty of not doing that, even before I was diagnosed with chronic depression. I love your blog! Your pictures are delightful and I am going to remember to live in the present because of this post! Thank you:)
