Victoria… this is perfect. I absolutely love the idea of gifting someone a fresh start. How lovely is it to celebrate the turning of a new chapter and welcome in the new year? I can’t wait to see what this year holds for both of us and the pretty things we will create!

  • Rachel Berzins

LOVE this idea and will definitely have to be making these boxes this year! I’m just excited for another fresh start! I think so many things are already planned for 2014 and I just can’t wait to experience them. 2014’s motto is for sure “get it, girl” and I fully intend to “get it” this year. hahaha

What a lovely idea! My goal is to drink more green tea and to snack less at night.

  • Wendy

Genius idea and beautifully designed! I’m looking forward to the rest of this series!

I have a theme for 2014 – balance, build, thrive, prosper. These are all things I want/need to do (kind of in sequence). Looking forward to mentally wiping the slate clean and starting fresh.

  • Huong

Since I haven’t set any goals yet, you really made me think! I don’t want to enter, but I do want to tell you my goals. My main goal for 2014 would be to leave people better than I found them by being a Godly example and help as many people as I can by providing a solution to their problem(s). I have missed crafting so much so I’m going to channel my creative side more this year because I find that making things is so relaxing. My third goal would be to learn how to cook more healthy dishes and one thing I’m looking forward in 2014 is to grow my home-based business and my blog. :)

I’m curious to know, what are your goals?

P.S. I’m already in love with this Make It / Gift It series idea! I seriously cannot wait to see what you have up your sleeve! Happy New Year, love!

    • Victoria | Oh So Pretty

Absolutely adore you and your big heart, Huong! I love your goals for 2014 – being a Godly example and sharing His love is the best thing we can do for others. Creating things is definitely therapeutic for me, as I’m sure you see :) Please share with us the things you make!

Honestly, I’m not too sure what my goals are this year.. I’d like to figure out what I want to do with my career, I want to design and create more, I want to inspire people, I want to grow this little blog of mine…. OH, I just have so many things I want to do, the list is never-ending really :)

I know 2014 will be amazing for you dear – Happy New Year! xo

      • Huong

And I adore you and YOUR big heart! I absolutely will share with you the things I make!

Love, you are inspiring others already! It’s why I stop by your Instagram and blog everyday. I’m always looking for a new message or thought from you and wonder how I can be inspired for the day/week. :)

It’s okay not to know your goals yet. I think it’ll come together as your blog and readers grow. I’m not sure if you know about Lara Casey yet, but I found this awesome Take the Challenge worksheets on her and printed them for myself because my list is a never-ending too!

I know 2013 was tough for you, so 2014 WILL be an awesome year for you and your family. God is in control! Thank you for inspiring me everyday! XO

  • johanna mariel

    This is lovely.

I’m really looking forward to a healthy new year ahead. It’s been a tough road; my mom passed this year but I know she’s always smiling down on my brother, my sister and I always. Since she passed, I’ve made it a goal to do what I love, even if it’s part-time. Because life is really too short and no one really knows how much time we have on this earth. My goals for 2014 are: to keep on growing and learning photography while having fun and also learn more about blogging : to share more friendship moments with my 13 year old daughter who is growing into such a lovely young lady right before my eyes : to spend more time with my family : to enjoy each day and say “I love you” to my husband at least once a day : to try and see the bright side of things when things don’t go my way : to print more of my photos : to continue to be inspired by other people, places, etc. I love being inspired by others. : to smile and always be myself because there is no point in trying to be someone you are not.

At least those are my goals for now, I’m sure I’ll add plenty more like eating healthier and reading more books :)

I wish you lots of health and love for 2014 and beyond!

    xoxo

Cheers, my friend! I’m thankful for you and I hope you have a beautiful year ahead!!

  • Sandy

  • Milcah

    To better organize my life

  • Cassy Day

Your Make it/Gift it idea fits right in with my plan for 2014. My new motto is “less is more”. I plan to give more, consume less, and surround myself with the people and things that are really important. I have too many things that aren’t really important to me that need to be given to others to enjoy. A big part of the joy of creating something is passing on that creation to someone who will appreciate it. Just like you, I plan to keep on making and keep on gifting.
May you new year be filled with peace and joy!

  • Katie

I love this concept! I’m excited to see more of your features. Your posts & projects are so gorgeous and well done!! (: Happy New Year!
