I love your outlook on life. When hardship hits me I like to think that this is a growth experience even if I don’t see where the growth is happening. Hopefully your hard time ends soon.

Wise words! I think it’s quite important to stay positive in the most toughest of situations- it’s like looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)

This is such a good reminder. Sometimes, when things get tough, I just get so overwhelmed and want to do nothing, but things won’t change if I do nothing!
Hope you have a great (and relaxing) weekend lady!

You know, I almost think that this is the very reason hardship comes our way- otherwise we’d never have an impetus to become better at being who we need to be. Spot on!

This is such a timely reminder for me! I was really overwhelmed recently and stressed out as well.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend Victoria!

This is such an awesome and resilient outlook on life, Victoria! There’s a certain (and contagious!) energy that comes off from being positive and maybe that’s why they say surround yourself with positive people? Hope you have an awesome weekend! :)

You are truly such an amazing person, Victoria!!! I admire you for growing in your positivity when things get hard. It’s so easy for people to give up and give in to “life hates me”, “woe is me” blues. I so agree with you, though – the more life throws terrible things your way, the more you should stand up to it and work harder to make positive changes in your life! I always tell myself and other people this, too! We are SO the same person, V!! :D We need positivity to make our lives the best possible as we can. So much love your way, my dearest!!! Have a beautiful weekend!!! <333333 xoxoxo

I love this simple mantra! In the past year I’ve been making over my life and perspective to be more positive! It truly makes a huge difference.

YES! I am also very competitive in nature – it pushes me forward but can also make me get down on myself when I start comparing myself and not feel good enough. That is great that hardships make you more positive, I would like to think the same of myself – but just isn’t the case. I have to really work at my positivity. Recently, (and I encourage you to do this if you don’t already) I started journaling everyday something positive. I also write down three gratitudes each day (thankfulness shouldn’t just be saved for thanksgiving). When we physically write things down it changes our attitude and chemicals in our brain. Crazy right? I watched a ted talk on this (on netflix) – so super inspiring and how positivity can change your life (for real). ……and I just realized how many parenthesis I used in this comment. HA! All my love to you Victoria! Keep it up, hopefully your positivity in adversity can rub off on me! Let’s do a skype date sometime :) xx Alecia

Couldn’t agree more, staying positive is the way to go. No matter how difficult times can be, there’s always something good to be grateful for, to enjoy. Have a great weekend!

This post is so timely! I woke up in a negative funk this morning and I kept turning telling myself to turn my thoughts to focus on the positive. Thanks for the extra reminder :)

Your post is simply amazing and I agree completely with your perspective. I’ve been reading Maxwell’s Daily Reader, and he wrote, “The difference between greatness and mediocrity is often how an individual views mistakes…When you have the right attitude, failure is neither fatal nor final. In fact, it can be a springboard to success.” I genuinely enjoy your beautiful blog, and look forward to future posts!
