I love summer fruits, seriously, it’s the one of things I look forward to in the summertime – watermelon and strawberry are my absolute favorites, but I don’t discriminate, I eat all the others too ;) I shared my favorite smoothie on Instagram earlier this week and now I’m going to share my go to drink, strawberry lemonade – so refreshing, delicious, and most importantly, sooo easy to make!
Combine the strawberries, water, and lemon juice into a blender. Add your desired amount of agave (depending on how sweet you like it). Blend it and voila, done!
So perfect for summer picnics, parties, and get togethers – just pour it into some glass jars and slap on these printable labels! Easy right?

I’m pretty sure I have a terrarium obsession. There’s just something so beautiful about these little guys, but more importantly for someone like me who can’t keep anything alive, it’s a good way to have some greenery around the house without much maintenance.
I’m starting off with air plants right now, but hoping to add some others soon. Do you have any suggestions for good terrarium plants?
Who is excited for 4th of July?? Me! that’s who. Anyone doing anything fun and exciting?? This is probably the first year we aren’t doing anything “spectacular” for the 4th – it kind of snuck up on us, to be honest. We really wanted take a trip somewhere, but after much procrastination and indecisiveness, we decided planning / buying tickets the week of isn’t the best idea…. so we will be going back home and spending time with family and friends!
Here’s something exciting! I’ve teamed up with Avery and designed a free printable for you. Even though we aren’t doing anything big, I still wanted to put something together to celebrate freedom. So I made these little patriotic pouches.
I can’t get over how AH-mazing this recently released Lily Stan Studio Lookbook is – I mean the pieces, the colors, the styling, everything is spot on perfection. Lily Harris is the mastermind behind it all – she designs each style, inspired by the clothing she wished she had. She will be launching a pre-order of the distressed pale pink denim top in the next week, with very limited quantities! The full collection will be officially launching soon after, so excited!!
I’m so excited to introduce you to Vrai and Oro, fine jewelry without the markup. Their pieces are simple, delicate, and can be worn everyday.
This double stacked ring is the perfect combination of beauty and simplicity. It comes in silver, yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold – all equally beautiful. If you haven’t, you must check our their collection – truly stunning. However, the double stacked ring above is an exclusive piece, it won’t be found on their main page, only accessible through this link.
Who is excited about summertime?!? I can’t say I’m really looking forward to the scorching heat or excessive sweating, but I’m super excited for longer days, some pool time, picnics, and of course summer vacation!
With all that said, I’m sure most of us will be spending most of summer days outside, so it’s important to take precautions and protect yourself from those UV rays. I do believe that some sunlight is good for you – it’s the main source of Vitamin D, but we all know too much UV can be harmful. I’ve joined HSN in their “Safe and Stylish in the Sun” campaign to bring awareness and help women keep their skin healthy.
| Clothing and accessories such as large brim hats, sunglasses with UV protection, and cute little cover-ups can help protect your face, eyes, and body from absorbing UV rays.
| Use beauty products that contain SPF – moisturizer, foundation, lip balm – you will look good and have additional face protection
| Wear sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. I’m going to be honest, I’m not a big fan of mainstream sunscreen with all those chemicals. I look for products that are natural / organic, paraben free, and have zinc oxide as the only sunscreen ingredient.
Do you have any tips for protecting yourself while having fun in the sun?? Please share!
So with everything going on over here, my daily style has been nonexistent. I’d like to think of it as simple and effortless, and when I say effortless, I really mean no effort at all. :) But seriously, there’s been a lot of PJ action going on. I should probably start wearing real clothes soon… in the meantime can we talk about these new pieces from Steven Alan?! So simple, neutral, and versatile… perfect addition to my closet, don’t cha think?
Also, if you haven’t already, check out this european vacay outfit I put together for my friend Alecia as she’s off in Paris and Amsterdam, vacaying and taking care of business ;)
I’m sure you all have noticed my absence in the blogosphere.
