Thank you AlwaysMod for my new tea set, which needed some major updating. This Stelton Emma Collection is absolutely perfect – the pieces are classic, simple and minimal. My favorite piece is the tea jug. It’s a Scandanavian classic with both form and function. The top easily twists on and off – you just put some loose leaf tea in the filter, pour in some hot water and the built-in smartfilter will actually stop the brewing process once the tea has reached the desired strength. It also keeps the tea warm for awhile, so when I take it to work, I can enjoy it the whole day.

We all know white tees are essential for any summertime wardrobe, but this one is different.
Zady recently released the second piece of their Essential Collection – 02. The T-shirt – made from USDA organic cotton that is grown and ginned in Texas and then spun, knit, cut, sewn and dyed in North Carolina. Zady is a conscious brand that is creating the new standard. Instead of focusing on trends, they work closely with farmers, washers, spinners, knitters, and sewers to create high quality, timeless pieces that will feel good, look good and last for years to come.
Read more about Zady here – you will love their mission and what they stand for. As for these tees, they come in white, navy and grey – perfect basics for everyday wear!
I recently connected with founder and designer, Ian, who introduced me to his Portland based shop, Kafoury. These beautiful leather goods are made right here in America and designed to provoke simplicity in style and incorporate quality within design. I’m wearing the day shoulder bag, which has become my absolute favorite. Its simplicity and basic shape makes it the perfect everyday bag and a great addition to any look – love it!
Light, flowy dresses are my favorite pieces to wear in the spring and summer time – easiest way to be comfortable and stylish. Of course the neutral black and whites are my favorites, but I think I may add some light spring colors to the mix :)
I am excited to share a few photos of our wedding day with you. Everything was planned in eight weeks, and it was absolutely perfect. We didn’t want a fancy production, just a day to celebrate our love and life together with our closest friends and family. And that’s exactly what it was. There was no bridal party, just the two of us, the bride and groom – surrounded by people who have been there for us through some of our happiest and toughest times, who continuously support and encourage us, who love us with an unconditional love.
The great thing about planning a wedding in a short period is you can eliminate all the little, unnecessary things and focus on the big stuff. There’s no time to ponder and contemplate, just make a quick, informed decision and move on. We didn’t stress over the small details, but remained focused on the true meaning of the day. Things may not have gone perfectly as planned, but that’s not what it’s about, it’s about having fun and enjoying the moment – because trust me, it will be gone before you know it.
Happy April!! I can’t believe it’s the 4th month (and probably the 4th blog post) of 2015. Work is starting to slow down a bit so I’m hoping this “one post a month” thing will change soon. Actually, today is my day off, and I have absolutely nothing planned – just want to relax, chill and be in complete, total bum mode. But I also wanted to come by to show you my new favorite Larsson & Jennings silver chain watch – such a beauty. I was between this and the black chain (both gorgeous) but I wanted something light for Spring / Summer. I love the minimalistic design – classic and simple – perfect for everyday wear.
Anyway, have a wonderful Wednesday! Time to continue my Friends marathon.
